For parents
Will your child’s school have scholarships?
A new federal tax credit pays K–12 tuition from 2027 — but only at schools a scholarship fund chooses to serve. We’ll email you the day yours is one.

Why nobody can answer this yet
Three things have to line up, in order, and two of them are not ours to decide. Here is the whole chain.
- 1
Your state opts in
Each state decides separately whether to take part. Some will, some won’t, and the list isn’t final.
- 2
A fund picks your school
Every scholarship fund chooses which schools it serves. Yours may or may not be one of them.
- 3
You hear from us
The day either of those happens for a school you named. That is the one thing we can promise.

Questions parents ask first
- Is this an application?
- No. There is nothing to apply for yet. When a real application opens for one of your schools we email you a link, and you apply then.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Signing up is free and applying for a scholarship is free. If anyone ever asks a family to pay to apply, that is the signal to walk away.
- Do we earn too much?
- Probably not. The limit is three times the median income where you live, so in many cities a family of four well into six figures qualifies.
- I can't find our school.
- Type the name in instead. Our directory covers essentially every school in the country, and if yours is missing we add it by hand.
- What will you actually send?
- Your state opting in, a fund opening for one of your schools, and the list of documents an application asks for. Nothing else, ever.
Be told the moment it reaches your school
Name your children’s schools. We watch each one, and you hear from us only when something actually happens.
The funds here are Scholarship Granting Organizations and the credit is Section 25F, also called the Education Freedom Tax Credit — the same thing, in the words you’ll find if you go looking. Check if you qualify · How applying works · I work at a school
